Light of Christ & Parvuli Dei Catholic Religious Emblems
Your child must be a registered Scout of the Catholic faith to be eligible to work on the Light of Christ and the Parvuli Dei emblems. The Light of Christ emblem is given to Tiger Cubs and Wolf Cub Scouts who are 1st and 2nd graders. The Parvuli Dei emblems is given to Cub Scouts (Bears) and Webelos who are 8,9 and 10 years of age. In order to receive the religious emblems, the child must complete all requirements in the Light of Christ and/or the Parvuli Dei Activity Books. These books are to be completed in a one-on-one setting within the family environment and the books are available for purchase at the BSA store. At the completion of the Activity Book, the Cub Scout signs the application, along with the parent, attesting that the requirements have been met. The Cub Master, Pastor, or parish administrator must approve the application.
A meeting with Father Rick from the Blessed Sacrament Church will be coordinated with all of the Scouts applying for these religious emblems in December 2005.
