Tropicana Devil Rays Baseball Game & Campout 2005
On September 30, 2005 (7:15pm), 59 of our Cub Scout Pack and family members attended the Tampa Bay Devil Rays Baseball Game & Campout at the Tropicana Dome in St. Petersburg. The Devil Rays lost to the Baltimore Orioles 7-6 after a suspenseful game. During the 3rd inning, the Ray's hit a home Run into our section and Klye Galbreath, a new scout to our pack, retrieved the baseball. Following the game our scouts attended a question and answer session with Devil Ray's player Johnny Gomes followed by a movie, "The Incredibles" shown on the big screen inside the dome. The evening continued with 33 of our group staying for the sleep over on the field that night. The night was full of children playing dodge ball and other activities late..........into the early morning hours. We slept on the artificial turf until the early am. Each person received a specialty patch for attending this fun event. Check-out the attached photos.
